SCHOLARSHIPS

Friends of St. Vincent's (Friends) provides scholarship funds to CAHSAV (adult residents of St. Vincent's Center for Children with Disabilities) to pursue their educational degrees and technical studies beyond what is available at St. Vincent's. These scholarships include funding for secondary school, computer training, and small business finance. In addition, we provide an internet connection so that CAHSAV members can take online classes, apply for jobs, learn English, and refine their computer skills. How you can help.

ENTREPRENEURIAL ENDEAVORS AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Friends supports entrepreneurial and leadership training in management, finance and supervision. We have supported CAHSAV management in opening a local bank account and securing nonprofit status in Haiti. Currently, CAHSAV members are planning to open a food service at St. Vincent’s, providing staff and visitors to the St. Vincent's with food and drinks while simultaneously developing CAHSAV's critical entrepreneurial skills.  How you can help.

TECHNICAL TRAINING IN ARTISAN PROJECTS

Friends is supporting the purchase of basic materials for the clothing design business of one of the CAHSAV members. How you can help.

Our Goals [Objektif nou yo]

SUSTAINABLE INCOME GENERATION

In the future, Friends and CAHSAV hope to design and manage income generation projects such as an occupational and speech therapy lab, computer lab, and artisan craft store.

BUSINESS PRACTICUM / INTERNSHIPS AND FORMAL PARTNERSHIPS

Friends plans to expand the local and international internship / practicum opportunities for all CAHSAV members to pursue their independent dreams.

Friends of St. Vincent’s is a small but passionate group of people dedicated to coming alongside Haitians with disabilities to support their journey to independence. Our focus is providing educational opportunities because, through education, people can lift themselves up and build a better life of their choosing. Our commitment to this work began in 1995 and, with your support, continues today.
